Strokes by Namrata Mehta is a Mumbai-based designer bag label where every piece is hand-painted — sling bags, tote bags, mini baguettes and clutches, each finished by the atelier's artists rather than printed by machine. The 64-piece collection at Stylera is one of the most distinctive drops on the site, and one of the few places online where the label is stocked at full range.
Namrata Mehta founded the label to answer a question most Indian fashion doesn't bother asking: what would a bag look like if it were treated as a canvas? The answer is a range where florals, abstract strokes, portraits and geometric colour blocks live on structured leather and vegan-leather silhouettes. Every bag is signed by the artist. No two pieces are exactly identical — the whole point of the label is that the paint stroke is human, not a repeatable pattern.
We carry Strokes at Stylera because it's the kind of label that would normally live only in a design store or a founder's studio pop-up. Bringing it into our multi-brand mall means an Indian woman shopping online can add a hand-painted sling to the same cart as everyday basics, ships free over ₹998, 7-day returns.
What to look for in this Strokes by Namrata Mehta collection
- Hand-painted sling bags — the label's most-loved format, in a range from floral botanicals to abstract colour work.
- Statement tote bags — larger structured totes with all-over painted panels, sized for daily carry.
- Mini baguette bags — compact evening pieces with painted details, on chain or short straps.
- Painted clutches — occasion pieces where the artwork is the whole story.
- Limited artist-signed drops — one-off pieces from Namrata Mehta's studio that turn over fast.
Strokes sits inside our wider women's collection at Stylera and anchors our women's bags category. Discover the full lineup of 80+ labels on the brands page, learn about our curation on the about page, or see the paintwork in person at our Aurum Square flagship in Navi Mumbai.

Frequently asked questions
Are Strokes bags really hand-painted?
Yes. Each piece is finished by the atelier's artists rather than machine printed, and every bag is signed. That means no two are exactly identical, so the piece you receive will vary slightly from the photograph.
What bag shapes does the collection cover?
The 64-piece range spans totes, hobo and shoulder bags, bucket bags, mini baguettes, handbags and clutches. Totes such as Slate Grey and Mocha Elegance are Rs. 1,599, and the bucket bags in Olive Opulence, Crimson Crush, Timeless Taupe and Charcoal Chic are Rs. 2,249.
What do Strokes bags cost?
Most sit between Rs. 1,599 and Rs. 2,499. The Denim Dusk Hobo and the Emerald Elegance Mini Baguette are Rs. 1,799, the Cinnamon Cocoa Handbag is Rs. 1,999, and the Mocha Elegance Box Tote is Rs. 2,499.
Where can I see the paintwork in person?
The range is on display at our flagship store at Aurum Square, Navi Mumbai, which is worth doing for a hand-painted piece because the texture of the paint is hard to judge from a photo. Online orders ship pan-India with 7-day returns.
