What to watch for

Mid-weight denim is a compromise. It wears cooler than a heavyweight jean, but it also creases more readily and the leg relaxes over a day of wear. The relaxed-fit shirts are cut for drape, so size down if you want them closer to the body. Flare hems are cut long on purpose and should break slightly over your shoes; if they pool on the floor, have them shortened rather than living with a dragging hem, which frays quickly.
