Plaeto's story starts with a simple observation: most Indian men were buying sneakers designed for American or European feet. The founders built Plaeto around the Indian foot shape — a wider forefoot, a slightly higher instep — and priced the shoes so they'd sit at the same shelf as imported basics. The 929 Classic launched to instant traction because it did what few Indian sneakers had done: it looked like a proper running silhouette, felt cushioned enough for a full day on your feet, and didn't cost ₹8,000.
