Vellure is the only label on Stylera that sells 100% linen as its default construction rather than a blend. That one fact decides almost everything about who should buy it: if you want a shirt that genuinely breathes through a Chennai August, this is the rack. If you cannot tolerate a crease, it is not.
The range splits cleanly in two — a linen shirt line from ₹1,799 to ₹2,850, and a knit polo line from ₹1,799 to ₹2,199 that most people miss entirely. This guide covers both, with what each fabric actually does in Indian weather.
What Vellure actually makes
Three families: soft-touch linen shirts, French pinstripe linen shirts, and jacquard or rib knit polos. There is also one outlier — a suede bomber — which we will come to.
- Soft Touch linen (₹2,850) — the flagship. Finer yarn, softer hand, creases into gentle folds rather than hard lines. Eight colours.
- French Pinstripe linen (₹2,750) — same flax, a vertical stripe, slightly more structure. The work-appropriate half of the line.
- Box-Fit Embroidered linen (₹1,799) — shorter, boxier, floral embroidery. The cheapest way into 100% linen here and the most resort-coded.
- Knit polos (₹1,799–₹2,199) — jacquard, ottoman rib, crochet and mercerised cotton. Open-structure knits that breathe like linen but do not crease.

Which Vellure shirt should you buy first?
The Soft Touch Relaxed Fit in Oatmeal Beige at ₹2,850. It is the most forgiving piece in the range on three counts at once: the oatmeal hides sweat marks better than any white shirt will, the relaxed cut does not need you to know your exact linen size, and the colour works from a Sunday brunch to a Wednesday desk.
If you want colour instead of neutral, the Soft Touch line runs through Frosty Lilac, Twilight Mauve, Pearl Pink, Frosty Blue and Butter Crème, all at ₹2,850. This is the widest genuine pastel spread in Indian menswear linen at this price.
Which Vellure works for an office?
The French Pinstripe line, tucked. A vertical stripe does two useful things at once — it breaks up any sweat patch, and it reads as deliberate rather than casual. The Pinstripe Blue and Pinstripe Beige at ₹2,750 are the two to start with; Soleil Yellow and Pearl Pink exist if your office is more relaxed.
The rule that makes linen work at a desk is contrast: relaxed fabric, sharp everything else. Tucked, leather belt, closed shoes. Our linen shirt buying guide goes deeper on weight and weave.

The knit polos are the underrated half of the brand
If you want linen's breathability without linen's creasing, buy a Vellure polo instead of a Vellure shirt. These are open-structure knits — jacquard, ottoman rib, crochet — which move air the way a loose weave does but recover their shape instead of holding a fold.
- Heritage Grid Jacquard Navy Polo — ₹1,799. The safest first polo.
- Ottoman Rib Knit Deep Blue Polo — ₹1,899. Heavier rib, more structure through the placket.
- Crochet Monarch Black Polo — ₹1,799. The most open weave in the range; genuinely a hot-evening piece.
- Capri Sandstone Jacquard Knit Polo — ₹1,945.
- Jacquard Knit Moss Matrix Polo — ₹2,199. Top of the range.
For the wider category, our men's polo price-band guide puts these against the rest of the shelf.
How does Vellure sizing run?
Size to your normal fit or half a size up — never down. Linen has effectively no stretch and shrinks roughly 3–5% on the first cold wash. A Vellure shirt that fits snug at the shoulders on day one will fit snug and short in the sleeve after one cycle.
Two exceptions. The Box-Fit embroidered shirts are already cut short and wide, so take your true size there. The knit polos have give in the rib, so a close fit is fine if that is the look you want.
How do you keep 100% linen alive?
Cold wash inside out on a delicate cycle, air-dry flat or on a wide hanger, and iron only while slightly damp. Skip the dryer entirely — heat, not water, is what kills linen. Skip fabric softener too; it coats the flax fibre and removes the breathability you paid for.
If you travel with it, roll rather than fold. Rolled linen unpacks as one long relaxed wave; folded linen unpacks as hard lines that need a professional iron.
The one non-linen piece worth knowing
The Monaco Night Suede Bomber at ₹2,499 sits oddly in a linen catalogue but earns its place — it is the layer that takes a Vellure polo from a Bengaluru afternoon into a Bengaluru evening without changing the rest of the outfit.

Vellure FAQ
Is Vellure actually 100% linen?
The Soft Touch, French Pinstripe and Box-Fit shirt lines are 100% linen. The polos are knitwear — jacquard, ottoman rib, crochet and mercerised cotton — not linen, and the bomber is suede. Check the individual product page for composition.
What is the cheapest Vellure shirt?
The Box-Fit Embroidered linen shirts at ₹1,799 — Ocean Blue, Lust Sage, Coral, Pearl Pink and Baby Blue.
Will Vellure linen wrinkle badly?
It will wrinkle — that is flax, not a defect. The Soft Touch finish creases into soft folds rather than sharp lines, which is the closest 100% linen gets to presentable straight out of a bag. If wrinkle-free is non-negotiable, buy the knit polos instead.
Is Vellure worth ₹2,850 for one shirt?
In dry-heat cities — Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur — the breathability difference over a cotton-linen blend is real and you will feel it by 2pm. In an air-conditioned office in a mild climate, a blend is the smarter buy.
Does Vellure ship across India?
Yes. The full Vellure collection ships pan-India in INR from our Navi Mumbai warehouse, and the range is on the rack at the Aurum Square flagship if you want to feel the hand before committing.
Where to start
One shirt: the Soft Touch Oatmeal Beige. One polo: the Heritage Grid Jacquard Navy. That pair covers most of an Indian summer between them. Browse the full Vellure collection, compare it against the rest of the shelf in our linen brand comparison, or see the wider men's edit.
