Which size should you order?

Size up rather than down. Children outgrow clothes long before they wear them out, and both labels cut relaxed, so a slightly large set is wearable now and still fits next season. That is the single most useful rule in this category, and it is also why matched sets sell better here than separates - a co-ord stays in proportion as a child grows into it, where a top and shorts bought separately usually will not.

Will the fabric hold up?

Both labels use soft cottons cut for movement rather than stiff occasion fabrics, which is what makes them practical for school runs and playgrounds. The trade-off is that soft cotton pills sooner than a stiffer poly blend would, and printed character graphics need an inside-out cold wash to stay sharp. Wash cold, dry in shade, and colours hold through a season comfortably.
